Inspired by a backup question elsewhere, I went looking for Acorn's Winchester Disc utilities which, the Winchester Guide says are all BASIC programs: CATALL, EXALL, WEDITOR, COPYF, BACKUP and SUPERFORM.
CATALL and EXALL seem to have lived on into the ADFS Utilities disc and Master Welcome Disc (MWD). COPYF is likely to have evolved into Copyfiles on the MWD. SUPERFORM exists in more versions than you can shake a stick at.
But WEDITOR and BACKUP (which is NOT the same as the BACKUP on the ADFS Utilities / MWD discs), I cannot find.
Does anybody have a definitive set of Acorn's Winchester Disc utilities, as supplied? Is there a dealer disc, for example, which had them on?
As an aside, I suspect the ADFS Utilites disc is pretty much replicated on the MWD, but is there an image of the original ADFS Utilities disc anywhere?
