You can put anything which is 6502 machine code in the library and it will be available using *<filename> if the library has been set. The limitation is 47 files per directory in (8-bit) ADFS.
Master 128, and BBC B using the keyboard links, can be configured to boot on a hard reset and will process the !Boot file depending on the OPT4 setting (off, load, run, exec) of the first drive mounted.
This is standard procedure for many RISC OS machines, but I think people don't tend to have their 8-bit machines autobooting, unless they are used for a specific purpose (eg. an Econet file server).
