8-bit acorn emulators • No Disk

I am unable to mount any disks in BeebEm. The ssd disk file is shown in the menu as mounted in Disc 1 and can be ejected but typing *DRIVE 1 <ret> *. <ret> gives an error "No Disk"

I have tried *DISK 1 and *. and get the same error
