This one is weird...
I have an Issue 4 Model B, OS 1.20. Econet is currently not working - reports "Line Jammed", but that's a luxury niggle that I can't start investigating yet.
When I started resurrecting the machine, only ROM socket 15 worked. Following all the troubleshooting stuff, I was able to confirm that all sockets actually worked but ROM selection still didn't. I eventually noticed that IC76 was completely absent.
Fitting IC76 meant that all ROM sockets were visible. Sadly, i only tested at the time with a different language ROM in each socket, and was happy that I could flit between all four languages.
I've since noticed that *only* language ROMs work in those sockets. DNFS is completely undetected, as are Advanced ROM Manager, GXR, etc etc.
Fitting an IntegraB board, DNFS is detected on the IntegraB (which is how I know about the Line Jammed issue on econet). However, even in this configuration the four motherboard ROM sockets are only detectable if they contain language ROMs. Anything else remains completely invisible.
Anyone got any ideas as to how this is coming about? It's very difficult to troubleshoot the Econet interface when it's completely covered by the IntegraB and the IntegraB is essential for running DNFS!
