Sounds like if you have a MEMC1A already, you're sorted. Checking the printing on the MEMC chip or the PAL label should be enough to tell whether that's the case.Purpose
To upgrade existing machines to include a MEMC1a memory controller. This is a necessary upgrade before fitting an Acorn SCSI and (A440 only) Floating Point expansion cards, and also increases performance generally by about 10%. The modification is not required on Archimedes 400/1 series, Acorn R140 or A3000 systems.
