What is the status of this project? I've been reading through it and it seems really promising,

I'm looking at storage/transfer speeds and I've been surprised by my results so far. Was thinking something like this might improve things.
Dave's ballgame, but from my POV, there's defintiely an issue with how it handles different IDE devices. As far as I understand it, the IDEFS/FPGA has been 'tuned' for certain spinning rust drives, and can be dog slow with modern solid state storage - and it's almost like the faster the storage, the slower IDEFS is. And I've tried really rather a lot of different media (CF, SD, DOMs, SATA adapters, eSATA adapters...) That said, with a 2GB (not smaller, not larger) DOM, I've achieved almost peak possible podule bus throughput with a Blitz - faster than any other storage solution for a RiscPC that I've got/seen.
