Dave's ballgame, but from my POV, there's defintiely an issue with how it handles different IDE devices. As far as I understand it, the IDEFS/FPGA has been 'tuned' for certain spinning rust drives, and can be dog slow with modern solid state storage - and it's almost like the faster the storage, the slower IDEFS is. And I've tried really rather a lot of different media (CF, SD, DOMs, SATA adapters, eSATA adapters...) That said, with a 2GB (not smaller, not larger) DOM, I've achieved almost peak possible podule bus throughput with a Blitz - faster than any other storage solution for a RiscPC that I've got/seen.What is the status of this project? I've been reading through it and it seems really promising,
I'm looking at storage/transfer speeds and I've been surprised by my results so far. Was thinking something like this might improve things.
