Browsing through an old A&B Computing today, I found this short machine code program which is supposed to create a colour version of Plan B. However, it doesn't seem to work and there's no correction for it in later issues (Well, not that I've managed to find anyway!). Anyone got any idea of how to make it work? The machine code doesn't look very complicated, almost like it's "waking up"" something that's there already...?
Disc image attached has the problem published in A&B as "LOADER" and then "PLANA" is the first file of the original Plan B code which is unaltered.
According to the accompanying article (A&B 5.11 page 25), "just run it before chaining the first part of the game".
I'd be interested to see if this colour mod works in the same way as the Atari XE conversion of Plan B that was released a couple of years ago.
