They're not really a PSU - they're just something that lets you plug in a USB PSU and also have a regulator to supply the -5V. They're only ever going to be as good as your USB C supply wall-wart. You will loose the AUX supply on the bottom (I personally use that for my goteks/drives). As to whether they provide enough juice, I'm not sure how far people have pushed them on an expanded Master, but an unexpanded master probably uses 1.25A. A pi copro (if a Pi Zero) probably uses ~ 0.2A, likewise a pi zero on the 1MHz bus... Add on another Pi Zero if using RGBtoHDMI. USB C will (assuming you have the right PSUs) give 3A at 5V. The original Master PSU gives 5V at 3.5A and -5V at 0.1A as well as 12V at 1.25A. Make of that what you will...I've heard about replacement power supplies that run over USB C.
I know you don't get an auxiliary power port but not sure if it can power other options such as RAM boards.
Personally speaking I'd prefer to use a proper power supply and have a plug on the back of the thing.
