That could well be the case. I've also just noticed a burnt area between the L and N output spades. Not sure a clean alone will bring it back to life - if the PCB has been sufficiently scorched, it will remain somewhat conductive.No, the case is plastic but, looking at the edge of the PCB:IMG_3020.jpegI wonder it conducted from the track on one side, via the liquid and the edge of the PCB, to the track on the other side. The damage is right next to the left hand spade connector and there is a slight indentation in the edge at that point.
