On one of the RISC iX images I have on my laptop (I’m not sure which or where it came from — it has users called Alan and ajw in the home directory) the sys folder contains a directory called A680 which appears to contain the build files necessary to build an A680 kernel, so I wonder if that’s a standard part of the riscix 1.2 source. If so, it might enable you to build a kernel.I’ve been trying for years to get my A680 to boot RiscIx.
I have 1.21c on multiple other machines, and have creatwd a scsi drive for the A680.
The A680 needs a different vmunix to the production Arcs.
I have what is alleged to be a copy of A680 vmunix.
Having said that Chris's Acorns comments on his A680 suggest (somewhat ambiguously) that it was booting off a standard Arc scsi podule rather than the inbuilt scsi controller so it might be that RisciX 1.2 no longer supports the internal scsi?
