OK, I now have an A420/1, and yes, it's not working. Actually it was working for all of 10 seconds before the PSU gave up the ghost. looking at the bottom of the PSU, it seems there has been significant liquid incursion at some point (which might explain why it's died).
I'm struggling to get into the PSU - the cage seems to be one piece of folded sheet metal. I can remove the plastic cover at the bottom, but that doesn't help much as all I can access is the bottom of the PCB. Anyone worked on one before and know how to get it out of the cage ?
Oh, and I've changed the title of the thread - I suspect there'll be more posts as I try and get this working.
