Yeah, LadyBug is all about bonuses. I find the RNG is very dependent on key-presses, so I tend to move up/down or left/right randomly for a second or so before I pick up the last dot. I am definitely luckier on letters doing this...
I did find getting the diamond bonus was quite tough (I guess that is by design) but as for the boost, I've had higher scores in the past without getting the million from the diamond bonus. Getting the fruit/veg in the centre needs to be done for as many skulls plus 1 - it's a very easy way to rack up more bonus, although it is quite risky and you're really at the mercy of the RNG directing a bug onto a skull whilst you're on your way to collect the bonus![#-o]( "d'oh!")
