They don't have to be stretched to 256x504 or possibly 256x496 (not sure which yet), I'm only using that for the real table as they are almost exactly twice as high as they are wide and the maximum possibly on the beeb. The single screen ones can be 128x256 as I don't need to steal back some ram.
