I've had some success transcribing UK101 tapes using my tools before, but couldn't make much sense out of these. I think maybe they are 1200/2400 Kansas-style format, but I don't know for sure. One issue that sometimes stymies transcription is "micro-slowdowns". Here, a sticky tape mechanism slows down playback. It does this so briefly that the effect is not audible, but it is disastrous for transcription attempts.Interesting. I bought them as UK101 tapes, although there is little to suggest where the first two came from. The third has a piece of paper that says "UK101 programs + Casio".
Some people apparently have success flexing the cassette shell in order to free up a sticky mechanism. I have absolutely no idea if that would help in this case.
