Yes, it's important the corresponding board changes are made.Normally the A4000 uses the F82C711 (as do the A3010 and A3020), but here an SMC FDC37C651QF has been used. It seems identical in pinout (and operation) except for pins 94 through 100. Which is why all the FDC data filtering components (used on those pins by the F82C711) have been removed. So, it's a possible alternative if your F82C711 needs replacing.
It's also maybe also worth noting here that the F82C710 used in the A5000 is not at all pin-compatible with the F82C711, despite how similar the part numbers and functionality are.
