Where was the damaged track you fixed previously to correct the CMOS RAM error? Not near the battery area? No other signs of physical damage?

I can't remember actually - I'll go back and have a close look. But I would imagine it was near the battery, as that's where all of the RTC circuit is. I think it must have been of the nature of "tiny speck of corrosion causes track break near via" type.
