I found it very pleasing tooJust wanted to chime in to say how lovely it is to hear that your daughter is enjoying Palace of Magic! It was a real favourite of mine as a child, and it's nice to know it still holds its appeal for new players today
I wasn't really sure if it would appeal when I first showed it to her. It doesn't really have the visual polish of modern games she's familiar with (e.g. Mario Kart 8 or Animal Crossing etc) but it was great that she saw past that and appreciated the same things about it that I did all those years ago. Although I probably thought that the graphics were pretty great at the time...BTW, I have been enjoying watching some of your YouTube videos recently, Colin, and your fondness for Palace of Magic was very evident in your video about it.
