What soldering iron do you use, the bit size on my iron is nearly as big as a i.c. pad and it can be a challenge not to bridge them.

I use a MiniWave TS100 - I backed the crowdfunding for it years and years ago. I am still on the original bit, it's quite large but I have found that with the Louis Rossmann "right amount of flux" I can solder anything. I recently replaced a USB-C port on a friend's phone and a snapped off micro HDMI port on a Pi4. I also use a microscope, hot air and a board heater for complicated SMD work.
