Oh that's great thanks for the tip, I've been using Edit to sort these too, but it didn't occur to me to use find and replace!Edit on RISC OS can do CR<>LF line ending conversion with SHIFT-F8 or from the Edit.. menu.
I find Edit on Master 128 (also runs on BBC B in a 6502 second processor) very useful for sorting out line endings with the global search and replace option (F5).
you've just saved me a whole bunch of time!Thanks Paul, it looks like Impressions and Pipedream (although the later not tested yet) can do what I needed.Computer Concepts made Inter-Word/Sheet/Chart available for the Archimedes on ROM for use with their ROM podule, during the period when they didn't have much to show for themselves, having tried to make a go of things on the Atari ST. I don't know whether these ROMs can be softloaded and used with the various 6502 emulators, but perhaps this isn't what you had in mind about accessing documents from these programs under RISC OS.
I've also found AMX Convert for AMX files, but still no joy with finding something that does the same in reverse (JPG --> Screen Format), opening Wapping Editor files, or a mouse based teletext editor (similar to edit.tf and the like).
