Just to report that it worked well on Saturday, with the OPD showing the latest news, which surprised the attendees.
You can just about make out the 50 years of teletext page on the OPD screen.
I may try to modify the script so the location of the pages and the port number can be given on the command line so I can have multiple copies running pointing at different content on the same machine.
I'll post the modified version back here.
