Thanks Mark, I'm pretty familiar with termination, all I did was disconnect drive 0, connect drive 1 to be the last (and only) device on the cable, drop in the terminator and swap the drive ID to make it drive 0.The resistor pack is used for providing a termination of the signal lines. It also pulls the signal lines to +5V (the inactive state if the line is not being driven).
The resistor pack should only be fitted to the last physical drive/device on the cable. Which is drive 0 and which is drive 1 doesn’t matter as far as the resistor pack is concerned. Think of the cable as a bus. Because that's effectively what it is.

So essentially drive 1 became drive 0 and the only drive on the bus.
It still doesn't work and I know the working drive is fine in that position,
