First the bit I'm certain about: make sure your SCSI bus is correctly terminated. If you have the BlueSCSI and a terminator, the TRM jumper needs to be set to "Off". If you have the BlueSCSI on its own, the "TRM" jumper needs to be set to "On".Famous last words indeed. I'm trying on BlueSCSI...I haven't tried. I was going to order some at some point, just haven't got around to that particular job yet.
There's no obvious reason why it shouldn't work... famous last words..
Created an image with the same geometry/block size etc as an E60s. Set &31 in the E01S to 1, so should ignore lack of Acorn message.
Image is recognised fine on an A420.
E01S completely ignores it. Formatter on Dealer Test Disk just reports "Device not present"
I reserve the right to be wrong about this - but I think the Filestores and formatter check specifically for a Rodime drive, and check for a couple of proprietary mode pages. Beebmaster gives more information here: viewtopic.php?p=383001#p383001
There's a hack to turn the "(C)Acorn" check off with a CMOS write or EPROM swap on the later Filestores, but I don't think there's an equivalent for the Formatter's need for the physical geometry mode page.
