32-bit acorn hardware • Re: Fixing up an A420/1

I'm pretty sure it's just the PSU. Everything seemed to spin up (Fan, HDD etc), the keyboard lights flashed, and the OSSC had locked on to the video output. Then it all went quiet. I'll need +12V for the HDD as well as +5V. I have an A7000 PSU available. I'll see about an adapter to spade connectors to hook it up to the A420/1
It's a puzzle, for sure. The first time I did this, I ended up just bending the front up to get the PCB out. But IanS showed me the error of my ways and that, with care and enough shoogling, this isn't necessary. Undo all four screws on the bottom and pull out the plastic insulator. Then you should be able to move the PCB back/forward just enough that you can actually juuuust lift it past one set of the turned-in fixing points, and then exit it that way. Kind of hard to describe, but it's totally possible.
Ah, I can see that it might come out that way. I'll have a play tomorrow.
