8-bit acorn software: classic games • Re: Exile - Unprotected Disc Images

Ok, after a bit of messing around to make sure I retained the mode 7 splash screen, I've now got the files off the disc, and I've packaged up both encrypted and decrypted versions.

The !BOOT file is a copy of the original code that loads to &7800, and includes the Mode 7 splash screen, and the code that then CHAINs the BASIC !B file. However, I've changed the execute address from &7800 to &7843 because we need to avoid using the original code that is used to load the files from the protected disc.

I may need to go back and revisit some of the previous discs, as I think they use the same code at &7800 to CHAIN the BASIC !B file, but I'm not using that code just now.

The loader is a little bit different, but from initial review it doesn't look to be significantly different. I haven't looked at the main game files at all, yet. But be aware, the novella protection is still active on these files.
