Mucking about plugging homemade stuff into my Beeb was almost certainly what convinced me to study engineering, even if I only ever got as far as a single disk drive, sideways ROM and a printer before moving onwards and upwards to the Amiga 500 ..... which ended up getting upgraded to a 1200, courtesy of my insurance company, but that's a story for another time .....
