Wasn't someone else also writing a history of Acorn? I guess that isn't an authorised work, however. This search is regarding the people I am writing about in the Acorn authorised biography. I've been in discussions with Hermann, Chris, Andy, Sophie, Steve, and other leading lights. But the ROMs list many other people.
The person I keep on mentioning to people is Jim Mitchell. If I were to read a history of Acorn that just trotted out the same old story about ARX, not even getting into what it actually was, I would be very disappointed.
Obviously, there are plenty of people who want a celebratory work that doesn't challenge their impressions, but the paths not taken are often as interesting as the ones that were, even if the accompanying stories take the shine off what people felt they achieved.
(Slightly joking here, but you might also contact the guy who is occasionally defacing the Wikipedia article on Acorn to somehow litigate a dispute he had with a certain key Acorn figure, perhaps unwittingly running the risk of actual litigation. There is probably a story to be told there, even if it isn't the one the guy thinks he is telling.)
